Developers

    Build Bytes into your workflow.

Use the REST API, CLI and webhooks to connect Bytes to external tools, automation and supported AI workflows through MCP.

    REST API

Use the documented public /api/v1 API with workspace-scoped API keys for trusted server-side integrations.

    Bytes CLI

Create, manage and organise workspace links from a terminal, script or private deployment workflow.

    Webhooks

Send signed workspace events to external systems without making redirect performance depend on the receiving service.

    Integrations

Connect Bytes to analytics, automation and external tools, with the REST API and webhooks providing supported routes for custom integrations.

    MCP

    Beta

Connect supported AI tools to Bytes through structured, permission-aware workspace tools.

    API base URL

    https://api.jaww.ws/api/v1

Developer API access lives under Workspace Settings, then Developer API. Each key belongs to one workspace.

    Install the CLI

    npm install -g @jawwws/bytes-cli

The current CLI supports links, workspace tags, link tags, Activity Group lookup and assignment, plus JSON output for scripts.

    Workspace API keys

Create API keys from Workspace Settings and keep access scoped to the workspace the key belongs to.

    Link management

Create, list, read, update and archive links through the public API instead of dashboard-only routes.

    Activity Groups

Resolve Activity Groups and attach measurable links to the right campaign, event or activity context.

    Tags

Create and manage workspace tags, then attach or remove them from links through supported endpoints.

    Integrations

Connect Bytes without waiting for every native connector.

The public API and signed webhooks also give teams supported ways to connect Bytes to their own systems while more native integrations are added.

    AI and MCP

    Beta

Built to work with AI agents, safely.

MCP gives supported AI clients structured, permission-aware workspace tools for working with Bytes while preserving normal workspace boundaries and safe defaults.
